TEFAF 2015

This year's edition of TEFAF will host seven galleries specializing in tribal art. The newest addition is Galerie Bacquart from Paris, which has been selected for the TEFAF Showcase. Jean-Baptiste Bacquart will offer a number of important African sculptures with prestigious provenances. Lucas Ratton will return this year as a full exhibitor with a strong selection of works, the cornerstone of which will be a Byeri Fang figure. Didier Claes will exhibit a group of African masks from the collection of Dr. Alex Rafaeli. Anthony J. P. Meyer will show works primarily from Melanesia and Polynesia, including a fine Tongan apa’apai club. Other long-time participants that visitors will have the pleasure of seeing again will include the Bernard de Grunne Gallery from Brussels with African art, the Entwistle Gallery from London and Paris with African and Oceanic material, and Galerie 1492 from Paris, which will present Pre-Columbian art.

The 31st annual Marin Show: Art of The Americas

Open to the public on February 21–22, The Marin Show: Art of the Americas will celebrate its thirty-first year as the world’s leading show specializing in the art and culture of indigenous peoples from North, Central, and South America. Featuring more than 100 dealers, this event showcases a unique combination of antique Native American, Pre-Columbian, Spanish Colonial, and contemporary American Indian art that attracts top dealers, passionate collectors, artists, and the culture-curious from across the world.

MATA NYC 2014

Madison Ancient and Tribal Art (MATA) will return this year on May 14–18. The prestigious event will be held at the same location as it has been the past two years at Arader Gallery, 1016 Madison Avenue. Participating dealers will include Marc Assayag from Montreal; Kellim Brown, Kevin Conru, and Adrian Schlag from Brussels; Joshua Dimondstein from California; Wayne Heathcote from Miami; P.-M. Boyd from Seattle; Splendors of the World from Hawaii; Leonard Kalina from Los Angeles; and Bruce Frank, Jacaranda Tribal, Amyas Naegele, Michael Oliver, and James Stephenson from New York. A number of permanent New York galleries are also associated : Alaska on Madison, Art For Eternity, Arte Primitivo, Fernandez Leventhal, and Pace Primitive.

BRUNEAF 2013

The 23rd Brussels Non-European Art Fair will open on June 5 and run through June 9. As always, the illustrious event will feature the participation of well-known tribal art galleries from France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and the USA, making the salon a thoroughly international experience.

Los Angeles Asian & Tribal Arts Show - November 12-14, 2010

The Los Angeles Asian & Tribal Arts Show is set for November 13th and 14th at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. It is the show's 20th anniversary. 


The show features the most prestigious and prominent gathering of Asian and tribal galleries in Southern California, featuring internationally acclaimed gallerists that showcase authentic items from all over the globe. This year, LAATA will showcase a collection of works by adventurer and fine art photographer Mike Glad. Vanishing Cultures is a photographic exhibition documenting the exotic and remote places that Glad encountered while trekking through Yemen, the wooded monasteries of Myanmar and villages of Pakistan. 


The show is produced by the celebrated Art Show team Caskey & Lees; producers of The San Francisco Tribal & Textile Arts Show, The San Francisco Arts of Pacific Asia Show, The New York Ceramics Fair, The New York Arts of Pacific Asia Show and The Los Angeles Asian & Tribal Arts Show. 


The LAATA will open with a wine and cheese preview reception and silent auction to benefit the Fowler Museum of Cultural History's Textile council on Friday, November 12th, 2010.

Visit Jacaranda at the San Francisco Tribal & Textile Show

The San Francisco Tribal & Textile Arts Show will take place on February 12-14th 2010 at the Festival Pavilion in Fort Mason Center.

Considered one of the finest events of its type in the world, the event celebrates global culture, including ethnographic sculptures, textiles and accessories. Featuring more than 100 renowned tribal art experts from Europe, North America, Australia, Asia and Africa, each showcasing their best examples of arts from tribal cultures across the globe.

Their will also be a special exhibit by celebrated photographer Mike Glad and curated by Mark A. Johnson will be on view. Other Worlds, is a collection of photographs that document the exotic and remote places that Glad encountered while trekking through Yemen, the wooden monasteries of Myanmar and villages of Pakistan.
